Postpartum 1: Take an Active Role in Your Recovery
Your body has just performed an amazing feat by growing and birthing a child! Take an active role in recovering from your pregnancy, labor, and delivery to set your body up for success as you return to your normal daily activities. Regardless of whether you had a vaginal delivery or a cesarean delivery, this class can optimize your healing. Mary Sadler, DPT and Lauren Bost, OTR/L have specialized training in postpartum recovery and can help you meet your goals!

Don’t want to leak urine when you cough, sneeze, jump, or exercise? Want to feel stronger in your core? Or just simply want to know some gentle exercises to help your body heal? This course is for you! Childbirth is one of the only major medical occurrences that doesn’t automatically receive a referral for therapy. This course is geared for women in their 2nd trimester until 6 months postpartum but is open to anyone who has had a baby – once postpartum, always postpartum!
In this course, you will learn how to re-engage your diaphragm, core, and pelvic floor to work optimally together, gentle exercises to safely strengthen your core and pelvic floor, and strategies to reduce pelvic floor dysfunction during the postpartum period.
A partner is not required for this course and you are welcome to bring your newborn along if necessary. Please wear clothes you feel comfortable moving around in.
